Message for all students.
by Moodle Support - Tuesday, 23 May 2017, 11:40 AM

Following the explosion at Manchester Arena last night many people have been affected either directly, through friends or family or through concern for others.

If you have been affected by the incident in Manchester and would like to speak to someone, you can access support that has been made available at all College sites:

  • Bispham – Careers Zone in reception
  • University Centre – Photo Lab2 (Palatine Building – lower ground floor)
  • Lytham Sixth Form College – reception
  • Fleetwood – reception
  • Gateway – reception

Everyone’s safety is always a priority at College and we would remind you to ensure that you have your ID badge on display at all times.

There will also be support for students in tutorial sessions re enforcing how you can keep yourself safe.
I know that this is a difficult time, particularly for all those affected and our thoughts are with the victims, their family and friends.

Best wishes

Bev Robinson
Principal and Chief Executive

Protecting against cyber-attacks
by Simon Bailey - Monday, 15 May 2017, 4:13 PM

Most of you will have read or heard in the news that there has been a serious cyber-attack affecting thousands of organisations around the world including the NHS in the U.K. Experts are also predicting further attacks in the coming days. Whilst we are confident that our servers are protected against the particular vulnerability exploited last week and are patched against known vulnerabilities, we can never be 100% safe.

The best form of protection is prevention, so, if you receive an email with an attachment that you are not expecting or from a source you do not recognise, please do not open it, please check it with the sender or contact the service desk.
